Tri-Valley Cross Country Teams Dominate at 2024 NYSPHSAA Championships

What an extraordinary way to cap off an already phenomenal season! The Tri-Valley Cross Country teams returned from the 2024 NYSPHSAA Championships this past Saturday, November 16, 2024 with some serious hardware, including two state championships!

The standout performances came from Van Furman, who defended his title to become the NYS Class D Boys Cross Country Champion for the second consecutive year, and his sister Anna Furman, who claimed the NYS Class D Girls Cross Country Championship. The Furman family’s dominance on the state stage is nothing short of remarkable!

This victory wasn’t just about individual triumphs—it was about the strength and determination of the entire team. Runners from both the boys and girls teams showcased incredible grit, teamwork, and dedication, all while pushing each other toward success. Their hard work throughout the season was on full display, and this championship performance was the ultimate reward.

Team Finish: 8th place
