A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Community,

We are aware that school districts across New York State are reporting an increase in school threats of violence during the first weeks of the 2024–2025 academic school year. These threats of violence are originating and are circulating nationwide on social media platforms such as Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Tri-Valley Central School has not been a target of any of these threats.

We are proactively reviewing all procedures and protocols as well as communicating with our staff about constant vigilance and reporting anything suspicious.

Tri-Valley will continue to prioritize the safety of our students and staff.  There is zero tolerance for any conduct, threats or violent acts targeting our school, our students or our staff.  Students who commit these violations will receive the maximum consequence, including long-term suspension, and potential expulsion from the district.

Please continue to partner with us by communicating with your children, being vigilant with monitoring their social media and reporting anything suspicious to us and/or our local law enforcement agencies.

Please remind your children:  If you see something, say something!

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
