Adult Education Fall 2024 Offerings

Hall Walking: Monday – Thursday – 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.
Enjoy the benefits of regular exercise in a comfortable and safe environment. Indoor walking is perfect for all fitness levels and provides a great way to improve your cardiovascular health and boost your mood.
Pickleball: Monday- 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. (SS Upper Gym)
Learn the fundamentals of this fast-growing sport, including serving, dinking, and strategy. Improve your skills and have a blast with friendly competition. Participants will need bring their own racquet.
Basketball: Monday- 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. (SS Gym)
Open rec basketball is open to all skill levels. Come join the fun!
Painting: Monday- 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. (ES Art Room)
Four painting projects. Sign up for one or all four ! ($10 supply fee, per project, paid to instructor)
Woodshop: Tuesday- 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. (SS Shop)
Our popular Adult Education Woodshop class is returning! Whether you’re a seasoned craftsman or just starting out, our experienced instructor will guide you through every step.
Quilting: Tuesday- 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (SS Rm 51)
Whether you are just starting or have been quilting for a while, this class is for adults interested in learning and sharing different techniques for making table runners, wall-hangings, or bed quilts.
Yoga: Wednesday- 6:00 p.m.- 7:15 p.m. (SS Library)
Come join our adult yoga class and discover the benefits of stretching and relaxing. Whether you’re a beginner or have a regular practice, our class offers a welcoming and supportive environment for all levels
Chess: Wednesday- 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. (SS Bear Den)
Learn the game of kings from a master! Join our Adult Ed chess class taught by a member of the UCSF and former tournament director. Benefit from expert guidance and insights as you develop your strategic thinking skills. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, our instructor will tailor the class to your level and help you improve your game.
All Adult Education participants must be out of school and at least 18 years of age. For Tri-Valley School District residents and graduates, there is no charge to attend classes. The only cost to participants will be for supplies and materials. A $15.00 /session fee is required for all out-of-district attendees.
If school is not in session, Adult Education classes will not be held. If student-related after school activities are canceled due to inclement weather, Adult Education classes will not be held.
There is a required minimum of 10 participants per activity. Attendance will be monitored weekly.
