The Board of Education has adopted a $33,576,255 budget for the 2018-19 academic year.
This spending plan, which was adopted at the April 11 meeting, represents a 3.50 percent increase over the current budget and maintains current educational programs, looks to expand other opportunities and addresses the needs for increased student services. Additionally, enhanced efforts to insure the health and safety of students, staff and community have been incorporated into the proposal.
The Board of Education also presented a funding plan for the budget that complies with 2018-19 district tax cap of 2.22 percent ($451,444). A simple majority (50 percent + 1) is required for the budget’s passage.
District voters go to the polls Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
