Take Your Child to the Library Day

For all ages
Wednesday, January 29
10 am – 4 pm
It’s the perfect opportunity to spark your child’s imagination and encourage a love for reading.
  • Explore New Books: discover exciting stories that fuel curiosity and learning.
  • Interactive Activities: fun events and programs designed for children of all ages.
  • Stimulate Imagination: libraries are a place where creativity thrives.

Valentine’s Day Card Event

For all ages
  • Help make homemade cards along with the Daniel Pierce Library for the residents at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility!
    DIY Valentine’s Day cards will be available (while supplies last) at the library for pick-up starting Wednesday, January 29th through Wednesday, February 12th during operating hours. You may also use your own supplies.

PBS Nova Documentary “Inner Worlds”

Recommended for adults and students 10 and up

  • Join local experts John Kocijanski & Irene Pease for an evening of exploration! We will watch the PBS Nova documentary,
    Inner Worlds focusing on Venus & Mercury. If you are curious about the galaxies, this program is for you.

Spring Children’s Programs

For ages 1-4 years
Calling all caregivers and their little ones, ages 12 months to 4 years, who live in the Tri-Valley Central School District!
The spring session will kick off the week of April 21st and last for eight fun-filled weeks. It’s completely free, thanks to the kindness of our amazing community! Registration is a must.

Mother Goose Time

This program is specially designed for very young children. It includes “read together” time (each child has his or her own board book), nursery rhymes, felt stories, playtime and music for our tiniest patrons ages 12-23 months. Two programs will be held each Wednesday: one from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and one from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Must be 12 months by 12/1/24.

Toddler Time

Stories, felt stories, crafts, music, and friendship-building geared for wee ones ages 24-35 months. Two programs will be held each Thursday: one from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and one from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Must be 24 months by 12/1/24.

Story Hour

Our classic, beloved program for three, four and five year-old children, featuring the “Magic Bag,” a read-aloud, felt stories, craft projects, homework and music. Two programs will be held each Friday: one from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and one from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Must be 3 years or older by 12/1/24.

Universal Pre-K Story Hour

Our “Story Hour on the Road” program visits the three UPK classes at Tri-Valley Central School. (Children will be registered at school.)
